Statement

A practice in fibre.

Peiyang's work investigates the soft frictions between body and material — pulling marine ecology, mental violence, and ritual into garments and sculptural textile pieces. She works fluently across machine knit, crochet, smocking, ruching and e-textiles, with industrial CAD and CLO 3D as drafting tools.

Her collections have been recognised by the iF Design Award (2025), French Fashion Awards (Gold, 2024) and MUSE Design Awards (Platinum, 2023), and shown at Fashion Scout London and Lumière LA. Selected exhibitions include LAV Arts at the Blanc Gallery, NY Textile Month, and shows by Female Design Council and CGELA.

She speaks Mandarin and English, and is currently based in New York City as a fashion designer and fiber artist.

Calvin Klein Menswear Design Team · Cut & Sew — Fashion CAD Designer (Freelance)

  • Supported the menswear design team in developing Winter 2026 and Spring 2027 Men's Ready-to-Wear collections — shirts, outerwear, sweaters, trousers, denim, hoodies, T-shirts.
  • Created and updated 80+ style color-ups and technical CADs in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring consistency with Calvin Klein brand guidelines and seasonal color direction.
  • Maintained style sketches, BOMs and artwork files in Centric PLM for accurate product documentation and development workflows.
  • Standardized 20+ Calvin Klein logo applications across multiple styles and categories — sizing, color variations, placement.
  • Collaborated daily with EU and Asia regional teams via Miro, supporting cross-regional alignment on design updates, comments and approvals.
  • Communicated cross-functionally with Wovens, Production and Merchandising teams via Outlook, Teams and Excel to support development timelines and internal coordination.
